Snap a Somerset scene for our photography competition

If you’re an amateur photographer who is keen to get their work seen by members of the public, why not have a go at entering our photography competition?

Last year we opened our brand new Elm Tree restaurant and we are now launching a competition to find some artwork for its walls.

We want you to submit your images of Somerset scenes or anything else you feel is relevant to the garden centre and the area for the chance to have your work printed and displayed.

Entries will need to be submitted by Friday, March 11. Low resolution versions of the photos will need to be submitted and the winners will then be expected to provide a high resolution version of their image of between 10MB and 15MB ready for printing.

There will be five winners in total whose work will be displayed and they will each receive a free meal for two in our restaurant. We will also have a small gallery of images from runners up.

The winner of the competition will be expected to take part in publicity and appear in photographs.

Entry forms for the competition will be available from our reception desk or you can download one here. Photographs will need to be sent to r.pimm@monkton-elm.co.uk. The winners will be chosen by our staff, including keen photographer, Matthew Vowles, and notified after the deadline date.

We’re really looking forward to seeing your entries. Somerset has some fantastic landmarks and scenes so we’re sure you will be able to capture something really spectacular.
